Changes are a part of life. Seasons are there to remind us of this truth. It is just nature’s way of reminding us that everything under the heavens needs to change, that things that once were will take different forms. That it does not need to be a sad event but that we need to learn to accept these changes and adapt to them. Before being a newborn, you were part of a different world in the placenta. Then, when you arrived in the world, you had to be put out of what once was your comfort zone and be exposed to many people staring at you like you came from the other side (which you did). You had to learn how to walk and how to talk and you learned to live with your family members. You probably learned about life, love and even about pain. But above all, you kept growing, you kept changing. As I am entering a new chapter in my life, I felt the need to write this post. Because I know that change can be scary. I know that some people do not have the necessary guidance as they enter their new beginnings. This post is to encourage you, who have a vision, you who finally found your purpose or to you who simply feel the desire learn something new. You are enough. You are equipped through God to face any challenges that come your way. You were not meant to live a mediocre life so this season of change is here to shape you, build you up and prepare you for the great plans God has in store for you. Get ready to step into the unknown and discover your wings!
1- Change is a sign of growth
Change is a sign that something is moving. Many people will spend their days wishing their life away, not really making any steps towards what they want. And it is simply because change is scary. Not all humans have the courage to stop doing something or to start doing something new in order to create the life they desire. So they stay in the same place, doing the same thing, simply because they are not bold enough to discover what is waiting for them on the other side.
2-Change is natural
So fighting against change is actually fighting against the natural course of things. Whenever we fight against what is natural,we get uneasy, we feel uncomfortable and sometimes even sick! When God wants you to grow, He makes you uncomfortable. Just like at some point, the baby NEEDS to get out of its mother’s womb, you too will need to step into new dimensions in order to reach your full potential and become to best version of yourself. It might be scary but it is natural for you to embrace your new seasons
3-Nothing is more painful than staying the same
Nothing is more painful than staying the same when God has already showed you what you could become! When you know what you have been called to do, nothing will make you feel more stuck than staying somewhere you do not belong anymore
So dear reader, if you were waiting for a sign, this is it! You’ll never know until you dare to try and you only regret the chances you don’t take. So if the opportunity is worth leaving your 9-5, take it. If that person is worth letting your guards down, do it, don’t let your past keep you from experiencing real love. If that mission trip is what God placed on your heart, pack your bags and follow Him. If it’s time for you to tie the knot, trust that God’s plan is perfect. Life is nothing but a daring adventure!
